Yes....rent a room in a house....cheap and for $400-500 a month you get to live in a MUCH nicer neighborhood than you would renting your own place in which case you would be residing at like Fremont and Bruce

Anyway, don't worry if you don't have a car. Las Vegas has the best public transportation in the nation and its not like it ever gets up to 110 degrees so you wont have to worry about medical problems due to the heat or anything.

And I'm sure you'll find a job right away. I mean, not if the unemployment rate exceeded 10%, but of course this is Vegas so of course there are jobs everywhere

And thats all I gotta say
lol...

.............. how it going im in calif!! trying move to vegas kind same problem but looking move in with a roommate if you like give me a call 805 -746-0158

The point of moving out on your own is to have your OWN space. Walk around naked if you so feel. So I really don't understand why people are not posting something a little more helpful. Who cares about living in a "nice" neighborhood. If you can't afford it at the moment, then you can't afford it. As for saying the library has internet access, would you want to get up and get on a bus to get on the internet. Uh No. So anyway look into siegal suites, they have weekly and monthly with utilities, internet, furnished, bathroom, kitchenette and if you live at the ones with the casino attached you can get 3 free meals a week from a set menu. This is a good starter for moving to Las Vegas and you can quickly move into a regular apt or condo if you can find employment out here and a lot of places do not make you pay a full deposit. I had horrible credit and I had a 2 bdrm, 2bth with a $300 move-in at the Villas on Sierra Vista. My rent was only $650. Ofcourse I had to go against the rules and bought a mastiff and was asked to leave but I quickly found another apartment.

Siegal Suites- furnished, internet, utilities included, no credit check, no lease, possible free meals, many loc to choose from
The Villas on Sierra Vista - 15 minutes from strip but still in a neighborhood with dean peterson elementary, Vons, Boulevard mall, bus lines, all within walking distance and the library is up the street.

When I was there the building has problems with roaches, everytime someone would move you would get bugs and they would have to come spray. I don't know if they still have that problem but it was almost unbearable only because I'm from Palmdale, I'm used to spiders, snakes and mice. I don't do roaches lol

But if you go the craigslist route and find a roommate to live with would you be allowed to have quests over?

I know this is a old post but those Siegal Suites are really not good at all. I've read reviews about a lot of them the areas are bad etc.

People might be in a position to need to live in a place like that, but would anyone want to?

These are nicer than SS if one must live in a weekly place.
