My partner and I are looking to move to Las Vegas at the beginning of the Summer. Can anyone comment on the Lesbian/Gay life? We are not bar hoppers but we do like to go out dancing and playing pool. Thanks

Vegas is generally a live and let live kind of place. There is a G/L casino! It's a good bet you wouldn't have problems because it is a major metropolitan area. There are all kinds of people from all over the world!

Had the discussion with a gay couple considering buying in Las Vegas the other week. They have been renting For a couple of months. Retired guys who I think have decided to stay.

Their views, which I share, is that the town treats gays like anybody else. Basically your orientation is ignored.

The town is pretty hetero but tolerates most anything that does not personally confront them. Lots of people here make their living in gambling, boozing and the sex trades. So you generally mind your own business.

Still remember my wife and partner quizzing a client on exactly what it was she did at one of the mens clubs. The lady was properly evasive but I had to kick my wife to get her to stop. My wife later confided that it never occured to her this nice lady danced with a pole.

Get in more trouble for working on a car in the driveway than who you sleep with.

You may want to check out a lesbian social group (plenty of couples as well as singles involved) and meet people that way. "Betty's Outrageous Adventures" would be one that comes to mind. The "lesbian" bars here are unfortunately full of str8 and bi women with their b/f's looking for a third partner and st8 people in general. Lesbians are not taken seriously here and women are pretty much assumed to be bisexual. Basically people with ANY type of morals or values here are considered outcasts aside from that Vegas is a great place to live.

Welcome to Las Vegas.
