Howdy,

Does anyone know where there are still slot machines that actually pay out via coins instead of this new ticket system? My wife and my mom both want to play some slots, but I haven't seen any of the old coin payout machines lately.

Any casino suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check the casinos downtown. They may be the last of the mohicans.
Also, the last time I was at Slots o fun on the north end of the strip, they still paid by coins..but its been awhile, so they may have converted by now. Good luck!

I agree that the constant clinking and clanking of cold hard money in the payout trays makes the casino way more interesting and entertaining. I'm not a slots player, but seems to me that half the fun is watching the money come out, sort of like watching the gumball come out of one of those oversized gumball machines.

Anyone know whether casinos have noticed whether folks have a preference for the new card systems over coins? I would have thought folks liked the feel of real money going in and out of the thing.

TITO is the way to go, IMO. No more waiting for hopper fills. And no more filthy hands from all those coins (especially nickels!)
