In all seriousness The Butcher Block is very good, although occasionally the selection is limited. I picked up some scallops and some Wagyu Ribeyes for a special dinner and couldn't have been more pleased. I would shop there more but it is on the other side of town from me.

I agree 100% with James, Village meats has the best steaks I have tasted in Vegas...even above Morton's Steakhouse

Where can I get a small (under 70lb) pig for over the fire roasting?

I visited (out of curiosity) a Hispanic butcher shop in Napa, CA once. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph on a pogo stick but did that place ever stink like a slaughter house! The window over the butcher case was cracked, and the meats probably weren't stored at the proper temperature. How they ever got that place past the health inspectors is beyond me.

Jump the fence at the pig farm and grab one from it's mother?

I don't know if R.C. Farms sell whole pigs but they might.

Has anyone ever been to John Mull's butcher shop on Thom Blvd just off Alexander? From the outside it's a bit of old Vegas. It may be where I took my first Nevada deer to be processed back in the 60's, but I can't remember ever going there otherwise.
