I'm just curious what everyone thinks of the "modern/upscale" image City Center, Echelon, Cosmo, and Fontainbleu all seem to be pushing. Is it too much now that the bubble seems to have burst or at least plataued in terms of visitors/room occupancy? I think City Center will prove to be an international destination and attract alot of interest, but I'm convinced at least a a couple projects will have to move "downscale" at least in the short term to attract interest. There's just only so many young money club hoppers to pack hotel rooms. As far as design goes, I think the "modern" edge is going to be way overdone. I would like to see the Plaza project built to offer something different, but that's looking grim.

I agree, there are only so many upper class folks in the world and after a certain point you've oversaturated. Vegas used to be a cheap destination and would be smart to focus on middle class value vacationers.
