Hello Everyone,

I have a couple of small projects around the house and would like to try and get some recommendations for a handy man or the like. Someone who does good work but does not gouge on costs.

1. Built in decorative Bookshelf in our living room.
2. Some tile work - backsplash in kitchen and bathroom

Thanks!

Why don't you try Angie's List (it's free to join), Yelp or the phone app Next Door for handyman.

For local light duty handyman use Nextdoor. Far and away the best local insights. Nothing wring with Angie's loist or Yelp but much harder to find a good hit.

Where are you. If in the NW I will dig up the Nextdoor stuff.

I downloaded the nextdoor app a few months ago and found a good local handyman. I also have a few backup referrals. Was very happy with the handyman I did call and hew was much cheaper than anyone I found on Google or Yelp. And, the advertisers on Yelp and Google didn't want a 1-2 hour job. It was pretty clear because they were all busy or out of town for 2 or 3 months.
