Looking to retire Pahrump I can't find out much information about high speed internet. Is high speed available in Pahrump?

You know there is no industry standard definition for "high speed"?

One ISP might offer 20MB down/3MB up, and call it "high speed internet". Another might offer 300MB and also call it high speed.

Someone from Pahrump will say "YES, we have 1MB satellite...really high speed" Or something to that effect.

Check with Cox and CenturyLink, but don't expect 1GB in Pahrump.

as a local in pahrump, contacting cox & century link will get you nothing. they do not exist in pahrump.

our choices here for reliable internet are satelite or valley electric, which is our electric company who offers broadband (eventually fiber to your house). they already have fiber to the house in some parts of town.

our electric company:
https://vea.coop/

if you have any additional questions about pahrump (or nye county), i will be happy to answer them

Part time Pahrump'er here. I use the valley electric internet 25mps (consistently) Wireless antenna mounted on the roof. I stream and surf with zero issues. I think its $39-$45 a month. I actually have slower speeds with my cox internet in Vegas. I speed checked it last night and was getting 13mps (I pay for 300mps)
