Pic below is looking east, from around Burkholder Blvd and Racetrack Rd - up from Heritage Park / the Senior Center. I don't have a zoom, but I did zoom in a tad. It's a very large structure, and on the mountain top right between the two centered power line towers. This is just beyond the river mountain water treatment facility.

Click the yellow bar on top of the pic to see the full sized pic.

I can't tell for sure, even zooming in your picture as far as I can, but it almost looks like the boulder city VORTAC, a navigational aid for airplanes. Search for Krri-FM Boulder City Historical on google maps, and you can see a close up of it. It seems like it would be roughly in the same direction.

Bingo! That is it. Boulder City VORTAC. Did a zoom out and the direction is about right.

I can picture seeing this structure from the side. Thank you.

Glad to help.. The funny thing is the actual building is maybe 20'x20'. What you see is a big metal structure to provide a ground plane for the electronics. If you look up from the boulder city side, it looks like some alien flying saucer to me.

That's probably the top secret alien research facility that makes contact with our alien overlords that took over the Illuminati in the 1950s and have controlled all of the governments since then using lizard men. :P

Well, it could be that too. Unfortunately Art Bell isn't around to confirm it to us anymore.
