3 million, really, very near future? Sounds to me like min. 15 years away, or I am wrong?

Back then, there was a more even balance between urban and rural in Nevada. That has changed drastically.

Nevada is now a state that is urban-dominated. Almost 85% of Nevadans now live in two counties (Clark and Washoe). 75% of Nevada residents are concentrated in the Las Vegas Valley. Projections show that the Las Vegas Valley will house close to 3 million people in the very-near future. Think about that: 3 million people! The population will spill out into the Ivanpah and El Dorado valleys to the south, and then the sprawl will go northwest -- joining up with Indian Springs, creating a 70-mile long chain of unbroken urbanization.

You cannot put 3 million people in one metropolitan area and not have some type of urban planning and urban values being advocated. With urban planning and urban values come the need to address urban issues. Who addresses urban issues better...Libertarians? Republicans? Democrats?
Uhh definitely not Democrats! Not once in history. Every time you leave democrats in charge of a state you get absolute disaster. You get states that hate business like CA and OR, that have high taxes, and tons of social programs that don’t actually accomplish anything. CA has a higher poverty rate than Texas despite far more taxation, and more homeless per capita too. Liberal policies have been proven over and over again not to work, every time they’re tried. So no thanks to that!

You can theorize about which party does what the best, but here's the stark reality:

Urbanization = Democrats!

Registered Democrats make up a majority of the voting population in Nevada, currently. The Clark County Commission is comprised of Democrats, save one seat.

Republicans will always capture a suburban tract here and there, for sure, but the more dense and urbanized an area gets, the more it will lean to the left.

One word for you: Collectivism.

The more people "collect" in one area, and the denser it becomes, the more the people will become "collective" and start demanding things as a group. If we're talking about an urban area, that means people are going to start wanting things that other urban areas around the country enjoy (light rail, culture, research parks, top hospitals, arts, preservation, etc)

If you want to be in Nevada, in a town run by Republicans/Libertarians, then you can try:
Mesquite, Laughlin, Tonopah, Hawthorne, Pahrump, Sandy Valley, Fallon, Elko, Winnemucca.

Not all that clear. For instance the income tax, often common in democratic domains, remains a third rail issue in NV. And Sisolak, the Democratic candidate for Governor is s long way from a progressive.

Vegas is a world class city and more people care about Vegas than will ever care about Boston. Nobody visits Boston except for work, it’s not a fun place. It’s just another boring city. And even at that it’s not close to tops, New York is a way, WAAAY more important city, with a lot more going on in every respect from business and economy to great culture. Boston is a poor man’s New York. Vegas plays second fiddle to NO city in entertainment. It’s not even close.

Whatever criteria you use to judge has no value to me. Weather is the most important part of a city for me because it’s the only thing that can’t be fixed or changed, and Vegas is tops. Besides that the general political climate, screw any overly liberal state with a wasteful government and Mass is a huge offender. You can’t beat no income taxes, low property taxes, and tourists paying for most of the government. Then after that you have available entertainment options and which city has more of a 24/7 culture. That’s Vegas, there’s always something to do and the city never closes. Boston is a second class city to Vegas and I think anyone who would put Boston ahead is, as you say, ignorant.
how cute!

Absurd.
Boston gets history...and not much else.
Architecture in Boston well inferior. "old" is not great.
Museums is history
Downtown Boston mostly sucks.
Financial district a poor shadow of NYC
Entertainment? You kidding or have you lost your mind.
Sports? Follow the Knights and soon the Raiders. Boston will not be competitive.
Give Boston Education and Health Care.
Boston sucks comparing to LV on urban or suburban living
Boston weather is awful 6 months of the year. Way worse than LV
Boston traffic is lousy for the east coast and not in the same class as LV.
LV Parks see at least equal to Boston. Find anything like Red Rock or Mt Charleston
LV is a much better hub than Boston. As a long residence of the NE you go anywhere else to avoid Boston..
Better people in Boston is simply the operation of small minds.
