Again though do not take this too seriously. The spread of students does not prevent PV or Centennial from having a fine set of children from the upper socioeconomic class who do fine. As long as you have a few hundred of them in a school it works pretty well. And kids who would be in the pack at a great school end up valedictorians.

My mother was once the President of the PTA at Bronx Science High School where my younger sister went. They had vast discussions about whether to send a kid to Bronx Science if the could not cut the top 10%. The answer in generally was better top of a lesser school particularly if you were Jewish or Asian.
I see. Thanks for the info I’m pretty new to the area, wasn’t aware that Coronado was so far above the pack; no wonder my wife’s friend who’s daughter goes there is always raving about it haha.

Clark Science Magnet is the best show in town, but Ad Tech is the strongest overall? What are the pros and cons of Clark Science Magnet vs Ad Tech?

Centennial HIlls is alright. Couldn't tell you about schools though, since we don't have kids.

green valley hands down. greener. easier commutes. more like minded families. more affluent parents = involved = results in school. ultimately you'll want to apply to be considered to get in to a magnet school.... this is lottery based and there's no guarantees.

Where is your husband's job? I mean approximate location -- major cross streets? Commute times can be an issue.

Centennial HS has gone down hill in the last 5 years. Green Valley is a no brained if schools factor into the housing decision.
