I keep the house at 74 degrees in the summer with the nevadaenergy thermostats... how do I do this.. time of use is highest 2pm-7pm for the 4 months.... my ac is off and even the laundry is not done during those hours.... I set the thermostat at 70 or less at the other times.. at the end of the 5 hours off, the house is usually 74/75

My house is a 2003 (original ac units), has sunscreens and window tint.. I also added insulation in the attic areas..
What sunscreens are you using exactly?

Original windows?

How much ($) was the additional insulation?

And are you talking about property tax assessment? If it's separately racked, not attached to the house, it isn't assessed for?
Please don't take my word for it but I believe that is correct!

Atomic Solar Screens... not the highest percentage
Original Windows - tinted bronze
Insulation was about $400 (spray type) but there was a rebate which made the cost next to nothing
Pool has Pentair Variable Speed Pump
Original AC Units (2 - that came with the house)
Using the NV Energy thermostats with app so I change temp at any time

I second Atomic Solar Screens, they're pretty good and look nice as well.

Just went live with my Solar system yesterday so no history in terms of production (although company I went with gives a production guarantee). Did extensive research, multiple quotes, as did my neighbor. Both went with Robco Solar. Very happy with sales process and installation. Liked fact that they've been in business in Vegas for quite awhile AND they're an electric company so if something happens to the solar market they should still be around, so far no regrets. We'll see how production goes.

Also had solar screens installed several years ago, definitely helped.
