The 'local yokals', weren't locals but very distinguished career sommerliers, traveling the world for decades learning all they could about creating great wines. With the intent of opening a vineyard and tasting room. They actually were trained in Sonoma and Napa along with other parts of the world. Which continues today. Like most businesses, you need to be constantly learning. They have been open for many years. NV law changes is now why they can sell retail, instead of just manufacture. NV has far to go with their liquor laws to create and support local businesses like this. Whose to blame, lack of interest from the 'local yokels' to make this happen. It take people who want to change the game to make stuff happen. And we are lucky they want to move here.

They are doing well, no worry about the few that refuse to think outside the box.

We are very lucky they chose to locate here to share in their endeavors. They, like many entreprenuers found NV to be a very friendly business enviroment. And with Napa and Sonoma, being so close to get grapes from, why not come here where there is little to no competition. And start something Vegas can call its own.

From what I experienced, the best vineyards are in South Africa, France, or Italy. But they have been established for generations. You know what they say about opinions. Everybody has one.

One more cool thing to bring visitors to town. At least we are a thriving community. With entreprenuers moving here and adding to the Vegas coolness all the time.

Some Californians make these 3 places (now) part of their stop coming into Vegas. This area is called the Booze District and will be expanding.

The Vinery has people (and businesses) coming in from all over the country, twice a year to creates barrells of their own wine, Many customers have been doing this as long as they have been open. Some for their own use and the businesses to give to their customers. They get to create their own labels etc. Once a year they throw a big party on the strip and have the best wine awards for the wine and the labels. Teh judges are not conntected with the vineyard. But are wel known in the wine industry.

This is extremely hard to read. But I appreciate the information.

People still chuckle over Ripple and Thunderbird.
