https://lasvegassun.com/news/2005/ju...deadly-threat/

Raccoons are deadly threat

There are no drugs that can kill the roundworm in the body, and the damage caused by the migrating larvae is irreversible. The roundworms develop to maturity in a raccoon's intestine, where they produce millions of eggs that are shed in droppings.

Human infection occurs when people inadvertently ingest roundworm eggs found in soil, water or other contaminated sources.

First raccoon I have seen in Las Vegas. Must admit I assumed they did not live here because it's so dry. They look healthy and well fed. I used to see them all the time in other places but never here!

These were the first I have seen. They first showed up a couple weeks ago. I never expected it.
I was out cleaning up my garage with the door open around 11pm one night. I heard something and turned around. I thought someone was walking into my garage I was about to kick ass or get beat up one. But it was a couple raccoons wandering into my garage.
