I have a history of DUI's (5 to be exact), Should I even bother looking for a bartending job? Will I even be approved to work in Las Vegas? Any help and answers will be helpful. Thanks.

Not to be off topic but why aren't you in prison? You've endangered the public at least 5 times. I hope they don't let you serve others alcohol.

I would like a simple yes or no answer. I'm not proud of what i've done in the past, nor do I condone drinking and driving. I've been clean and sober for 2 years now, I'm in culinary school and I'm looking for a part time job to pay the bills while I'm in school. Just looking to start fresh.

Why is being a bartender first on your list of choices?

I wouldn't hire anyone with a record like that to be around alcohol.

Bartending requires dealing with money. Which means dealing with a background check. Something to think about...Just saying....

If that were true, bartending would not even be on your radar.

I've been a bartender for 21 years. Thanks to all of you for just being honest with me. It was the only thing I knew how to do. Maybe there is something better for me out there.

You think bartending is a good job for someone with 5 DUI's? Don't bother.
