My 4 door ford fusion w/sunroof is one comfy car, but it's lacking some nice tints. Does it make THAT MUCH difference in the hotter months? I never had tints and this is my 6th car.

Local reputable tint shop is asking $225, money well spent, or nah? It is a lease car, I have to return it in 28 months. I don't mind eating that $225 as long as it is worth it to keep things a bit cooler. But again I have ZERO experience with tints.

Now, I love biking, specifically mountain biking. Once I move to Nevada I'm gonna buy a Trek 820, solid basic 7 speed bike. I will be in areas that are mostly flat, with a backdrop to shoot at for my gun hobby, how is the terrain for a mountain bike? I'm gonna try to not runover rattle snakes I already researched how they stay under brush to stay cool etc, I just never rode a sandy/desert area. Also if you're living in the Northwest area of Las Vegas, is there an easy way to just bike your way to the Desert, or do you have to drive a bit with a car?

Don't even get me started with Star Watching! Gun's, Biking, and Star Watching are 3 of my hobbies, and this is why I'm moving here. Long Island NY basically sucks for ALL 3 of those.

Gonna get me a nice Celestron Telescope too! I'm so excited to drive to Vegas! I'm also happy that I don't like gambling, I'm actually one frugal SOB lol. I only waste money on things that I will benefit from for years.

I would've had them tint the vehicle before signing a lease. I'd do it only if you plan on buying the car at the end.

Yes, also to make sure to get some quality tints. Ask the tech who is doing it what brand of tint are they using.

The main mountain biking areas are Cottonwood which is near Blue Diamond, NV (in the southwest part of Vegas), Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City, NV (southeast of Vegas), and Mt Charleston (in the NW, but summers only due to snow). Not much in the way of flat terrain for mountain biking here, lots of up and down.

Also, the places people shoot guns in the desert are not around any of the mountain biking areas. People aren't going to be too happy if they are biking along a trail and find you shooting in the desert in the same area. Desert shooting is illegal on most BLM/open lands.

There are a few areas where I believe it is technically illegal to shoot in the desert, but apparently they ignore it because it's going on all the time (Lovell Canyon Road), but that is in specific areas.

Grammar Cop Here.

Tints is not a noun, it's a verb.

I want to have window tint installed in my car.

He/She/It tints the windows in my car.

Get it done. It will help keep the car cooler in the summer when it's parked and it's just a cooler look too.

tints can be a noun, a plural noun. "There are many varying tints available." "You can chose from 3 different tints"

You are correct. I shall return to my little cave under the stairs until called for again.

(But it still hurts my ears to hear "I want to get tints for my car.)

White colored cars make the most difference imo

I don't have any tint on my cars and because they are either garaged or in the shade, I don't really need them.

We have two cars, if we get them tinted, I would be happy to say "that's a nice pair of tints"
