I'm sure you have heard about this before, but I will relay the situation of a friend who is at another Strip casino as a cocktail girl. She was brought on as steady extra and was getting about 5-6 shifts a month. She was considering another job where looks are kind of important and got a breast augmentation. She told the manager who decided how many times she got brought on that she needed a few weeks off and told him exactly why and he was amazingly receptive as she put it (shocking I know). Once she was ready for work her 5-6 shifts a month became more like 13-15 shifts. Then in one of her shifts a guy was being kind of persistent in talking to her and then said he was a hiring manager at another resort and was sure she could get a full role there and sure enough she got on and in a pretty good time slot.
