They were always going for the wind, which we got - but they missed the rain forecast. Looking at the radar this morning before sunrise, when there was still light showers falling, you could see the cyclonic rotation of an upper low that they didn't account for.

Friday afternoon was like hours before the rain event - almost a nowcast. .....

Some nice heavy showers yesterday afternoon. Saved a day of watering again. Still some light showers this morning just before sunrise here in the southeast.

It rained pretty hard here in the southwest from about 1 to 3 am this morning. Just high clouds as the sun is coming up.

It was wild to watch the news yesterday afternoon. We barely got our street wet, but some places had almost 2 inches of rain in 1/2 hour. The flood channels they showed were raging. Hopefully they all drain towards Lake Mead so that water doesn't get wasted?

Marble sized hail at Buffalo and warm springs. I was told by a coworker that a few miles away at the top of Russell there was golf ball sized hail. I could see that storm cell from where I was at, it looked almost cartoonish, a giant black blob! 100°+ to hail in a matter of minutes, CRAZY.

64% humidity right now, today's going to suck.

It was nice and cool this morning before sunrise. Low 80s F / 27C I think. Forecast is for a high below 100F / 37.7C - which may come true if the cloud cover holds up. Miss the cloud cover , and you blow your high temperature forecast.

They are saying if we keep the cloud cover we will just see scattered showers later today. But if we lose the clouds it will heat up enough to cause a repeat of Yesterday in the afternoon.
