The article shows views from top floors of luxurious apartment communities in Las Vegas.
I wonder if the people living there are happy? Or is it human nature to not be happy even when you seem to have it all.

Great pictures! Bet these places would be fun but the HOA fees are probably astronomical!

I'd gladly pay high HOA fees if it means I get a staff that is on-site and actually enforces rules. In my community, almost every house breaks the rules and nothing is enforced.

Turnberry Towers's HOA at $377/mo weeds out the low-income residents and gives you amazing amenities. This is basically the same price as my current HOA + Lifetime Athletic membership.

To give you some perspective, I paid $400/mo in HOA dues for a generic two-story condo complex in California.

I have friends who own in a high rise here in LV the view is great. Yes the Association fees are high but you get much more than a regular HOA association. The pool for this place and exercise room is on the roof covered by a plastic dome you have guarded parking inside of the building and no stairs all elevator. The two things I saw which were a drawback were the balcony as very small and no grilling or BQ on them and no cover on top so during the hot months you can not use the patio either in the morning to afternoon or afternoon until the sun goes down. Second if you have a dog or plan on getting one it is a pain to walk the dog because first you hope the animal will hold it from the time you leave your place ride down the elevator exit the building. This becomes a challenge the higher up you live in one of these places especially if the elevator is busy at that time. So the high rise places are for people who have certain life styles.

I think the martin has the best views, from what i've seen. but the hoa on that place was $1200/m... and all you get are views of neon lights and the concrete jungle, if you like that sort of thing.

best views imo are mountains, golf courses, lakes and anything to do with nature

That can't possibly be true.

They'd have emergency stairs. But all normal use would be elevators

HOA dues are $520/mo for a 1 bedroom. You also forgot to mention the pool with cabana beds, upscale gym, library/lounge, and security.

That's why I said "that place"... It was a particular unit, not a shoe-box

I did not forget to mention anything, this thread is about views
