Our family moved from Summerlin to Aliante last April and we love it here. There are beautiful parks and a really nice trail system that the kids can ride bikes on without ever having to cross a street. Everything out here is nice and new and new stuff is opening all the time. It is a little farther away from work and school than where we were but it has been more than worth it. There are also lots of homes for sale out here and the prices keep dropping. I think Aliante must have come along when real estate was at a premium and now what was in the $400's is now in the upper $200's. We were very fortunate to get an awesome deal on our house so we aren't to "upside down" in our mortgage. The good thing is we don't plan on going anywhere for quite awhile.

Thank you for the info. We are moving out there probably in April. It's hard to get a feel for safety, shopping and all that over the net. Commute really isn't an issue, so we are mostly concerned with safety.

Joni,
If you haven't been out here yet, I think you will be surprised at Aliante, the way it looks. It's really nice, with tree lined street's, 3 parks, shopping, a library, schools, fire station, a casino under construction and much more. I've lived in Aliante for 4 years now. Watched it start from scratch to where it is now.

Thanks Pink. I am liking the idea. I have researched Centennial Hills, Summerlin and Henderson. But, Aliante keeps popping up and for some reason the little voice inside says "pay attention". So, I think I will!

Hey Pink, 5Kings, and anyone else...

Would you think that Aliante would be a good choice for a single person? Or is it more family oriented? It seems nice, from the description and all, but I'm curious. I don't need to be right where all the nightlife is (I'm starting to get too old for that, LOL!), but as much as I love the open air and mountains, I don't want to be a drive from everything. I get the idea from a lot of the posts that there is not a lot of conveniences close by to the Aliante area, is that true?
