Amongst the other things I do, I raise 'Backyard Chickens' these are the most geeked out, spoiled chickens you will ever meet...

I've had the honor of meeting Jonathan's chickens. They are as beautiful as they are spoiled.

Nugget is alive and happily living at Mrs. Boyle's school for wayward Chickens, with a flock of 50 fellow penmates. I visited her a few months ago, You can too.

Are they producing eggs? What is the production rate? Taste difference compared to store bought eggs?

I get fresh-laid eggs from free-range chickens a buddy has. He has so many eggs he cannot get rid of them fast enough. The secret to keeping them tasty is NOT to refrigerate them. They'll last for weeks that way. And, to test if they've gone bad, put them in water. If they float, toss 'em.

fresh eggs are by far the yummiest tasting eggs in the world, its like a store bought egg flavor is a "2" a fresh egg is a "15"

most production chickens have an area the size of an ipad to live there life. - new laws are in place to give them more room, but its still a tiny place, kinda like a NYC apartment for under $1200 a month.

Free range chickens are given 4x the space of a production chicken, this is a farce calling them 'free range" but that is the term allowed by law.. Also they are kept indoors with bright florescent lights on 24/7

Chickens that are allowed to roam, and peck and scratch naturally, sleep in dark and have a NORMAL life
produce much better eggs, and live MUCH happier lives..
