Pretty soon it won be for Angelinos either. At some point they'll have problems keeping rooms full.

The resort fee was basically just an increase in room rate. They did it that way to pull a fast one on people using internet booking sites.

The parking fee, in a town as autocentric as Vegas, comes damn close to charging for admission. The way I did Vegas when I went out there previously was to rent a car, and flit around in and out of various casinos and non-casino destinations. Generally, unless I'm playing a daytime poker tournement, I don't want to be in the casino during the day, so I'll get out and drive somewhere.

Charging for parking makes doing that much less attractive. And to be blunt, in my mind, makes going to Vegas at all less attractive.

With free locals self parking ending on 12/29/2016, here is a possible solution that I posted a while ago to help you get free self parking at MGM properties by signing up for MLife MasterCard
