Gotta get it done in 4 days...

Better prices on Craigslist or Clark County Public Auction?- (which I've never been...but occasionally stuff looks good).

That's a tall order.

I'd go to one of the casino furniture liquidators first. (Google: Las Vegas casino liquidator.) The advantage to these businesses is that the furniture they sell matches. So it won't look like you went to 20 yard sales to furnish your condo. Some of their items are decent deals, too. About the same price you'll pay scouring craigslist. Too bad there isn't a hotel in active liquidation right now -- like the Riviera. That would be your best bet.

Estate sales also work. And this IS the season for estate sales. If you luck out, you can buy two or three rooms full of furniture and be done.

No matter what, four days is a very, very difficult order. Even for someone with a flatbed truck and a roll of C-notes in his pocket.

So I'm guessing the eviction was successful this time.

Sure hope so. And I sure hope they didn't trash the place.

Yes all was good, a little threat saying the constable was willing to testify if need be, having seen the condition of the unit on both Friday and on your move out date...so any destruction and I will drag this out for eternity, file charges and collect every penny (did the trick).

Thanks for the tip on the liquidator, Scoop.

Ya new tenant wanted it furnished, trying to do it all for under $1200.

Unless it's 1 bedroom, $1,200 isn't going to do much at the liquidators -- you pay more because everything matches.

Try estate sales first. I haven't yet been to a local auction that was worth my time -- let alone worth bidding on anything.

met a lady yesterday who posts a ton on craigslist and gets things direct out of the world market furniture showroom, gives them a kickback and gets truckloads...said she'll try to match a room up for me...I already have an extra flat screen tv, tv stand, table and coffee table to throw them...so just need a couch and a couple of beds

Colleen's Consignment CCC Furnishings - Great Furniture, Reasonable Prices also gets quite a lot of new furniture from World Market. I've bought a few brand new things there.

Colleens has some beautiful things but I think I read the budget was $1200. Shopping at Colleens with that would get you a couch. If you wanted more, say it would buy you two side chairs and a nice occasional table.
