I have seen more family, friends and randoms relocate to Seattle without missing a beat. We don't see Seattle as expensive by the way. It's right in our budget and it is nothing like San Diego. Have you lived in Seattle, NY, San Diego?

For the record my wife is not complaining, never has complained and probably enjoys her job more than the average person. I'm doing all the complaining for her.

For your post above in green, that is a different thread for a different time. If you want to make that thread, feel free. I'm not bashing renters because people who have mortgages can fall into the same negative situations if they don't plan. I also was a renter for a lot longer period than an owner so I know it all first hand already. By the way, my wife usually only evicts after 2-3 months after non payment. Do you fit this category?
I'm originally from Washington State, not far from Seattle, I have also lives in New Jersey and New York...by far Nevada is cheaper overall than any of those States. Seattle is much, much more expensive than Las Vegas, no question. By the way the cost of living index is Seattle is 206 (cities range between 110 and the high of 338), San Diego is at 194, lower than Seattle. Las Vegas is at 149...so you may think you understand cost of living but it is clear, Las Vegas is cheap comparably to the other two cities you mention and Seattle is more expensive than San Diego.

I have rented for many years after selling my house right before the bubble popped, I feel lucky for that. I have never been late on a rental payment and always leave the property in the same condition that it is found. I can tell you I have rented from numerous landlords/management companies and have had issues with a few...many, even the good ones, always try to take the deposit no matter if the property is in the same condition, a common scam that most renters will not fight. Again it works both ways there are tenants that are bad and there are bad management companies and owners. Again you have a major casino/hotel company that owes $25 billion and if defaulting on their obligations. I always find it funny that people attack the poor person that doesn't pay their bills but continue to be okay with large companies not paying their obligations and there are numerous.

So please go on complaining about bad renters and fail to see the truth, there are bad apples in every bunch.

Also to the person who mentioned "welfare scum" realize there is far more corporate fraud than there is welfare fraud, most people on welfare are good hard working people, not the stereotypical person you believe they are.

I look at it as saving local tax payers money from adding to the people already on Main and Owens.
What's the statistics? 75% of Americans are 2 paychecks away from being homeless, destined for Main/Owens, even if you've lived here for 10 years!

The un-diversified economy of this city will always ring of precariousness, so highly dependent on a better economy elsewhere!

A positive attitude gives you power to overcome your circumstances instead of your circumstances having power over you. Find something to be thankful for each day and continue to work harder than yesterday.
You'll be fine
