Wife and I love the Bourbon Room. Good crowd (our age), great Host (Marvoulous Mark is the best!), good Manhattans, no cover etc., however, you can only go there so many times. So we're looking for another spot or two similar to the Bourbon Room on the strip to put in our rotation. Anyone have a recommendation or two?

That's a tough one. There are no other "80s" bars that I can think of, but there are a few venues with live music and cover bands who will do 80s rock. The Sin City Sinners play the Lounge at the Palms fairly often (and have a residency at SouthPoint on Fridays), check the schedule at the Foundation Room at Mandalay, as well as the bar upstairs from HOB. The campers from Rock n' Roll Fantasy camp will play there with their mentors, and you never know who will show up (went a while back and watched Eric Johnson shred, plus Rudy Sarzo, Frankie Banali, Dusty Hill, and Vinnie Paul were all milling about). But as far as an 80s hair metal-themed bar, I can't think of another one (other than Vamp'd, which is where you'll find most of the 80s rockers hang out, but that's way off-strip). Other than those, you will have to come to my house on Xmas Eve where you'll find a couple dozen members from various 80s bands and we'll have HairNation on in the background
