Can anyone recommend some decent affordable extended stay places here in Vegas? The stay will be for one month.

I am not personally familiar with any of them except what I have read on this forum, and most comments have been negative as to location, etc. So another alternative if someone else doesn't have a good suggestion for you might be to rent a room or condo or even house from someone who has a home in a nice neighborhood on this site: https://www.airbnb.com/

You could also look on line for share situations to see if anyone would be agreeable to a one month stay. I don't know what you consider reasonable, so difficult to say or if you want to be near the main strip or just in a good area. Need to furnish a little more information as to why you coming hear and what your objective is.

I stayed at sienna suites for a month. It was nice enough. No problems or loud noises. No prostitutes or drug addicts either. About 20 minute drive to the strip mainly due to redlights.

There are extended stay hotels on Las Vegas blvd, south of the airport near the outlet mall. Check these out, places like Budget-Budget Suites, Emerald Suites South..... Goodluck!

The good:

- Candlewood (Paradise & Flamingo)
- Extended Stay America (Valley View)
- Crestwood (Flamingo)

The bad:

- Seigal Suites (all except perhaps Trop west)

The Ugly:

- Town & Country's
- Sportman's Manor

Thanks for all the suggestions. My friend ended up staying with a friend in Chandler, AZ.

Do you see any cockroaches in the evening? I just read about this place and many complained of cockroaches and smelly rooms...

I have not seen a single roach. There are 2 different emerald suites. I looked at the one on Paradise, by the convention center, and it looked scuzzy.
I am on the south end of Las Vegas blvd. My room is clean, no smells, and no bugs.
There are a few dead bees in the pool, thanks to the blooming bushes next to the pool.
My only complaint is the lackluster water pressure in the shower.
Of course, since I spent 4.5 hours at the pool today without sun block, showers are not in my immediate future.

Monday marks the start of the third week here. It is stressing us all out. Going from a 3 bedroom to a 1 bedroom is terrible.
There is a reason they're called weeklys. Any more than a week and it's miserable.
