Does anyone know of a website that shows live weather conditions in Las Vegas?

I need to track the current wind speeds for work but all the websites I have checked - National Weather Service, television stations, airport - seem to be on a long delay. The wind will be howling and websites will say the speed is 7 mph - you know it's on a delay or just incorrect. Our landlord does not want a anemometer installed on his building.

Appreciate your help!

I've been following the US National Weather Service Las Vegas Nevada on fb but you're right that it's just a website that doesn't update as it happens. You might shoot them a message there. I'll ask around.

Try Weather Underground or Weatherbug. I'm not sure you can watch a wind gust in real-time (watch the needle on the dial move) on either site though.

There are a number of amateur weather stations that report to the APRS network (a ham radio thing). You can find them and view their data here:

Google Maps APRS

You don't have to be a ham to use the site. You're looking for an icon of a solid blue circle with "WX" on it. Click the icon and a balloon will pop up with the data for that report.

Note that the map isn't static - it only shows data from the last hour by default, so you may not always see the same set of stations each time you visit.

I like Las Vegas Weather guy. He's in Summerlin so add a couple of degrees for the central valley.

I started using them when they were still part of U of Michigan about 20 years ago. My mistake , seems like it was 30 though
I must have been reading Orwell's 1984

I asked around and I got the same answer I gave but maybe go to the actual National Weather Service website for the radar.

If you look on Edmunds Scientific you can get your own anemometer and put it on your roof. You can access the info on your computer or they have some with their own display as well. That would be real time data.
