Does anyone know of any Valley neighborhoods that were once non- gated and were later gated???

Asking about established neighboorhoods not new construction where gating was delayed due to financial issues ect.

I'm curious if this has ever been accomplished due to HOA petition from residents.

I am aware that just a gated with no guard is more hype than anything but it would cut down on thru traffic in some neighboorhoods.

Scotch 80s is almost a gated community. They've gated all the entrances/exits except for a couple. There's no controlled access to get into the community, but you're limited to only a couple of entrances. No HOA.

There is nothing particularly hard about doing it but first you need unanimous agreement and then you need a spot suitable for a gate. The municipality does not want trucks sticking out into traffic while waiting to get in. The county appears a little more reasonable on low use back roads but they will insist on a big area if you are getting into a road with heqvier use.

Yes, but I can't remember the name of it in the southeast part of town. It was pretty old when they gated it.
