Asia has the biggest population and the majority of Asians don't put US sites at the top of their list. The majority aspire to seeing Europe first. I have spent some time in Asia and South America and almost everyone has heard of Las Vegas, but few really seem that interested in visiting. Its really a place designed for Americans who have 3-4 days to visit and want something convenient and affordable for their budget. For the rest of the world its mostly just a place to see once and cross off their list

So yes many in Las Vegas may have no interest in visiting Asian cities, but the feeling is mutual towards American cities from Asians so this list seems reasonable to me. We already know foreigners are only something like 15% of Las Vegas visitation, with most Canadian and Mexican. The good news is many foreign travelers visiting the US have a lot more vacation time than we have and try to visit a lot of places if they are going to invest in a long flight over. Las Vegas does get on these itineraries, but may not be the most anticipated stop on the trip.

Can't disagree more strongly. Do you know what the Chinese call the United States? "Meiguo."

It's pronounced "may-gwoah." (Kinda sorta. Most Mandarin speakers will know you're an American if you say that to them.) What does it mean? "Beautiful Land."

America the Beautiful. Our freakin' name is all the marketing we need. Go to any national park in the summer and roughly one quarter of the other visitors you see there are Asian tourists. They don't want to see our cities. They have great cities of their own. They're all dying to see Yellowstone, Arches NP, and the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls. They visit this country to see our majestic natural beauty.

And that's a good thing because we haven't mucked it up (much) compared to other nations. Our natural wonders are still more-or-less natural. We haven't built an alpine slide down Canyonlands -- which is EXACTLY what China would do if they had a Canyonlands. Don't believe me? They already built an alpine slide down the Great Wall. Google it.

The fact that they don't want to visit Las Vegas just tells me that they have their priorities straight. When my inlaws visit, I take them to Zion, Bryce, the canyon, Red Rock, Valley of Fire -- whatever most interests them. Usually it's the Grand Canyon. But sometimes I can talk them into going to Zion instead.
