I'm going to be taking a job soon which will require me to be in Vegas 8-10 days a month and I was thinking about renting an apartment instead of crashing with friends and renting hotel rooms. Are there decent apartments for ~$500/mo? I don't need much, just a place that's clean and safe enough for me to leave my suits, shoes, a small TV and a few knick-nacks there. Any ideas on good complexes (preferably with NO CARPET AT ALL) for me to check out?

If it's only 8 - 10 days a month - why bother? You'll have to pay for utilities as well. I'd just stay in a casino. If that's not for you, rent a room from someone. Several websites for that.

I'm not sure if there's any high end weekly rentals.

I know, it's a bit of a wash, but I was thinking that it might be better to have a home base rather than staying at The D or some other crappy hotel because staying at The Palms or The Venetian over and over again would get expensive.

I'd definitely find a room on Craigslist. You would make an ideal roommate with your schedule so I am sure it wouldn't take long to get a place
