hi everyone. for my first post i've got a bit of an ususual question i guess. i'm from england and my girl is from virginia, and next year we're hoping to move to vegas, as it's the place we met and fell in love. now along with the usual moving hassles (along with immigration et al for myself) i've booked us a week in the imperial palace as a christmas present to her. however due to our ideas of moving and the imperial palace's no pets policy i could use a hand on somewhere i could help dump her 2 kittens and dog for a week. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

keep the dogs and cats where ? england ? virginia ? or are you bringing them with you to vegas? if vegas, i think you can use the local kennel clubs. where those are im sure others will chime in shortly

Best bet is a petsmart pethotel. There are two I know of NW on Rainbow Blvd and SW on Fort Apache near Trop. Both should take both cats and dogs. The have chalets for the kittens who can stay together and supervised play time for the dog.

There may also be kennels that will take both in the south strip area...that however is outside my knowledge base.

Google Petsmart and follow from there.

Also, most local veterinarians board animals. We use Desert Shores Animal Hospital and we're happy with them. Vets are located all over town. PetSmart is probably your best bet though, although I didn't know they took cats. I believe they are more expensive than the vets, but they have doggy daycare too. For an extra fee the dog will get to play with other dogs during the day.

This place is a little pricy but before we got the second dog we took our puppy here to socialize him with other dogs. If you have access to a computer they have a webcam so you can watch your dog play. I'm pretty sure they don't take cats though. Las Vegas Dog Day Care and Overnights. Plan your dogs next vacation!

We used the Petsmart hotel at Rainbow and Lake Mead when we moved over from the UK and got settled in. They were excellent and allowed us to go and visit our cat whenever we felt like it.

Did the other cats tease him for his British accent?

Thats hysterical !

I used to have a British Shorthair and I used to talk to him in a British accent (my version anyway) just so he would remember his roots.
