I do not know the exact numbers but I believe a number of bartenders, servers, etc. are in fact paid well below minimum by their employer. They may also receive benefit packages including medical.

Which is a helluva lot better than many states. I was a table games dealer in CT.. $4.75 plus tokes.

Did you read what was stated.. FLSA puts the minimum at $2.13.. Between that and tips it has to equal the Federal Minimum wage amount...

If the employee's pay and tips do not equal that the employer has to raise their pay so that the two amounts will equal the minimum wage...

That is why you will see tipped or restaurant/bar employees receiving different amounts at different properties...

And all of the strippers i have known and loved have worked on a 100% commision basis with a % going to the place they work....

Yes, I read what was written, but in reality, employers in Las Vegas pay minimum wage, at least. Maybe there are some tiny little mom and pops who don't but I've never met anybody in this town who was paid less than minimum wage.

In other parts of the country, maybe, but not here.

So who exactly is making $2.13 in this town? Anyone know anyone? (Excluding strippers)

Nevada is one of the states that doesn't allow tip credit. The employer doesnt make up the difference. It's 7.25
