This is the time of year where the (electric) a/c is shut off and it's not cold enough for heat, so the gas heater is also lying dormant.

I have my heat set to 68. Last night was the first time the heat pump kicked on since summer.

Why turn on the heat? This is pleasant.

68 during the day, 72 at wake up and shower time, turned off at night. I love sleeping in a chilly room with lots of blankets. Getting out of bed and showering when it's 6AM and 64 degrees is another matter. Thank the Good Dude for programmable thermostats.
