I read an article in the local newspaper (Home News I think its called) that said Station Casinos just bought 65 acres in the middle of Inspirada. Anyone with insider info have any news on what they plan to do with this?? Its kinda off the beaten path for another resort.

Build a casino. Probably not for 8 or ten years. Just like Red Rock and Aliante. You buy the site and wait for the rooftops to appear. When you have enough roof tops you build your Casino. Note that it virtually impossible to site a Casino in a built up area. The citizens gang up and beat you to a pulp.

I just think it an odd area for a stations resort. They tend to keep to major roadways. Inspiradas not that far from St Rose Pkwy but not close enough in my opinion.

Great news about Stations! I hope they build a casino that has movie theatres, a fast food court, a few clubs, and several restaurants so I don't have to go anywhere else. Just give me my neighborhood casino and my neighborhood Super Wal-Mart and I'm happy.

And, the Station casino nearest you, will be the BEST Station casino.

We went there to take a look (didn't buy because the yards were sooooooo small!Like postage stamp small.). The sales office there did the full presentation and said that there would be a casino in the middle of Inspirada and touted it as a sort of GVR part II with a district area leading up to the casino. Sounded great, but I didn't want to wait 10 years to see it happen. Plus we were looking at KB homes and I really didn't want one of those (heard there are problems with that builder).

Although it's probably the most likely scenario, it doesn't make it certain that the land is intended to become a casino.

Sales at Inspirada (or anywhere else) aren't what they were expecting to be and builders have been reducing their land portfolios. Station could have been offered a steal of a deal for the land and are just speculating. It's possible that Station's purchase included the builder taking an option to buy it back at a higher price two or three years from now.

My brother in law was pulled out of school after something similar and remained home schooled until he earned a GED many years later. I think this was a huge mistake on the part of my in laws. Bullies are really scary, but learning to deal with all types of people is the single most important aspect of school. Everything else can be taught at home, but not social skills. To this day, my BIL has problems communicating with people, making friends, and being social. I suggest enrolling him in some type of self-defense classes, meeting with a psychologist or other professional so that he can discuss his fears and learn to deal with them, and most importantly, get him back in school so that he can continue to grow!

As for the school not recognizing and dealing with an obvious threat - you should request a meeting with the faculty and the parents of the bully, and things will get dealt with real quick. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Good luck!

Inspirada will be a failure. Don't buy there or you'll lose money.
