Grocery stores, wally world, bars, restaurants, etc. tend to remain open. Your dentist's office? Not so much.

Grocery stores and wally world tend be 24/7 in most mid sized towns anyway, but the deli fish/butcher counter will be closed. Bars yes, but the kitchen is usually closed. Your favorite chain restaurant thats not Denny's still closed by 10ish. Even the cafes in some of the outlying casinos tend to be closed or only serve cold stuff, but you can still gamble though some tables might be closed. So while the suburbs arent fully asleep, it's not crackin 24/7 on a Tuesday night like the strip or downtown. My point was that while we are perceived to live in a 24/7 town those of us doing the daily grind in the suburbs have the same stuff open at midnight as the person in Waco.

Yeah, people outside the valley don't seem to think that we have regular suburban neighborhoods like anywhere else. I get your point.
