Why are there so many Chrysler PT Cruiser for sale in Las Vegas ? I ask half joking but on every search i do for cars there are so many Chrysler PT Cruiser for sale .

But the main question is . When you buy a used car in Las Vegas what is the most important thing to check for ? Weather, road and traffic condition determine what gets used up most often and damages most in cars from city to city , state to state. So by Las Vegas weather, road and traffic conditions what should i be most on the look out for .

Second , what are the steps to take after i buy a car ? ( registration , dmv, inspection , etc ).

I'm going to guess that a lot of them are ex-rental cars. I think at one time the PT Cruiser was a popular rental, and the rental agencies in Vegas probably have a lot of cars to sell off.

You should check for rain and snow damage as there are plenty of vehicles brought in from out of town transplants.

CarFax isn't inclusive. Take it to a mechanic to check things like electrical and undercarriage. They can see if there are weld spots where there shouldn't be, or rust in places that only flooding could do.

CarFAX is also very prone to errors, I develop software that interfaces with CF and they have no means to correct data. So if someone, somewhere makes a mistake on VIN it's a manual process to correct and generally nobody bothers. Definitely have it inspected by a pro.

With our extreme heat, batteries, windshield wipers, tires and most rubber/plastic hoses should always be looked at as far as routine maintenance goes. I have guys that work for me that have ordered at least $200K in batteries and tires already this year for our fleet.
