Hello folks,

Planing the move for Oct 2014.
Thinking I may want something to do part time.
I see a few people seem to always be looking for a handy person.

Since we had our house built, and then finished the inside, we have some exp at this type of thing.

I hear NV is a good place to start a small biz?
Anyone have any idea what hoops one would have to jump through?

Default Or

Perhaps someone who has lost the ability to do his current job.
I have private disability Insurance. Carried it for years. Now I can't do my job.
They just reduce what I earn from my benefit if I work part time or in a new field.
I am just looking for something to do.
I want to be productive,I do not want to just sit home and collect a check.

Something I have had a passion for sounds better then delving pizza.
I have done that, just want something more demanding.

Thanks for the link!

There are more and more baby boomers retiring. Maybe something that caters to their needs?

There are a lot of un-handy baby boomer. A handyman would be catering to their needs.

Hoops -- don't take my word on this (it's been a while), but:

- City of Las Vegas Business License (depends whether you're in the City of LV)
- State of NV Business License
- NV - Dept. of Taxation (use tax)

The cost isn't all that great. Check those out online, and call and get information.

Hey Robojester,

I'm not being rude when I say this, but if money is not a concern why not volunteer work? I remember suggesting this when you were exploring the idea of your own Limo service and at that time you stated you just "wanted to be productive".

If money is a concern for quality of life then disregard this but, if it's not, there are plenty of places here that would probably love to have you. Just something to think about...

You should start your own casino.....

Maybe for locals kind of like Dotties.

Or what about a nightclub in a casino....they are doing fantastic here.. one of the latest clubs to open only cost shy of$200 million to open. It's called Hakasan...of course they locked up all of the top DJ's in the world but perhaps you could give some newbies a start.

How about executive protection....plenty of celebrities stay here....they need security ya know.

How much would it cost to fire up a local dive bar? Sort of the anti-megaclub?
