Interesting fact from that link!
Inbound income per cap. (2010): $22,900
Outbound income per cap. (2010): $19,100

So maybe people who couldn't make it are leaving? (Though with a difference of 3800/year, maybe that's a stretch for me to make that statement).

Well, look at CraigsList. The moving sales are phenomenal and go on forever. I think lots of people dream of living here and leave when the reality doesn't prove to be the life they wanted.

It's a bonanza for those of us who are staying. I'll never have to buy furniture for retail!

It's always been called a transient town, but since the population has always grown rapidly, I don't see how they can say that. I used to think they meant that people move around all over town a lot ...which they do.

I'd like to know what the research says about who is a local. At one time the researchers at UNLV said nobody believes you will stay here unless you've lived here... three years if I remember right. And we locals didn't believe you were a local until after five years.

Personally I don't recognize anyone as a local until they've lived here about 30 years.
That was funny...when I read the title my mind immediately jumped to the 30 year mark....damned if Buzz didn't nail it... Nice Job 😝 Vegas reminds me of water bucket found at many parks...It slowly fills...reaches a point and dumps...starts all over again ....
