Linq is SUPPOSED to be done by December of this year. Not sure if that helps any. As a local who frequents the strip a bit, I'd prefer Bally's on your list as well over the other two.

Thanks; I found yesterday on Flamingo's site where it says construction to be completed by end of year. Definitely not going to bank on that being done by the time we go in Nov. I know there is some construction going on at Bally's too though with one tower being closed; wonder if that is impacting people's stay there (aside from having fewer available rooms of course). We're probably not going to book until mid-late sept. anyway so maybe I can see how things are looking closer to that time.

Has anyone been by the Harrah's (or now Caesars) Linq site recently? Hows that coming. Is it still a major construction mess?

The High Roller got its last pod attached this week. The rest of the Linq is still being constructed and a mess.

Speaking from experience here, think twice before staying somewhere right next to construction, no matter what the price. They start working about 7:00 a.m. There's jackhammering and trucks' back-up beepers going constantly, etc. etc. Annoying.

Agreed. I stayed at Caesars a few years ago when they were doing some renovations in another part of the hotel. It was a total bummer, and they started work at 6AM. If the room had not been comped already, I would have asked for my money back.

The frequency and manner in which sections of road are blocked off here, combined with the lack of activity in blocked off areas, leads me to believe that cone companies are contractually obligated to place cones daily and are paid per cone.

The traffic cone is our unofficial state tree, along with our state bird, the flying plastic grocery bag.
