I like the buffet at Golden Nugget for breakfast. Main Street Station is pretty good, too, and they have a crazy guy making omelets who is quite entertaining

I got a groupon for Planet Hollywood's buffet. Dinner, 2 people, $45 - all you can eat, and all you can drink beer, wine, and champagne. Not a bad price.

We go to Fiesta Henderson when we come to town because my grandson LOVES Crawfish and he can have his fill there.. Also the price is very reasonable.. last time we met my Mom and nephews in town and we all went there to eat and it was like $75..... for 9 people....

I am a firm believer that you do not have to pay a fortune to eat well.. And besides if I like it and no one else does then I have been satisfied....

I wasn't that impressed with the Bacchanal at Caesars.( I'm no buffet afficianado, so take my opinion for what it's worth.) But, for fifty bucks per person, there are much better meals to be had in LV. That, I do know.

Surprisingly enough, I rather liked the breakfast / brunch buffet at LVH. Of course, they'll make you a crepe to order, and I'm a sucker for crepes with fruit and a little sour cream.

I've heard that Bellagio and Wicked Spoon at the Cosmo are good.

If you want a cheap but decent buffet then you should probably go to Main Street Station in downtown Las Vegas. It's no Bachannal/Ceasar's Palace by any means, but I have never had bad food there, ever.

And, I've been plenty of times.

While I'm not a big buffet person, here are the ones I've liked:
Bellagio
Wynn
Sterling Brunch @ Ballys
Rio Seafood buffet
Planet Hollywood - Spice Market buffet
Rio Carnival World Buffet
Red Rock
Aliante (formerly a Station casino)
Orleans

It's been a while since I went to Bellagio, but they had a nice selection of stuff you don't see every day, so I could sample & enjoy it. While Wynn was good, I wasn't THAT impressed especially considering it was $40. Same story at the Rio Seafood buffet - it was good, but not $50 good & the seafood wasn't that fresh. Notice a theme here? It continued at the Sterling Brunch - certainly enjoyable & the service was good, but for $85 everything better be great & it wasn't - the lobster was rubbery, filet mignon medallions were small & overcooked, etc.

The Rio Carnival World buffet's good but not great, they definitely take a volume approach & it shows. There are issues here, but it's a good value if you know how to pick your spots. During the week you can get 50% off with local ID, so if you get there just before 3 PM you can eat dinner for about $11. A couple nice features (in addition to the crab legs) are the Mongolian stir-fry station where you can have food cooked to order along with the excellent sorbet options for dessert (I love the Mango & the Coconut's pretty good as well.)

I'll try Aliante occasionally after working out at the gym - if I time it right I can get there just before breakfast ends (10:45ish AM). Made to order egg-white omelets are great, there's lots of bacon & they start putting lunch out at 11:00 AM, the days when they have pulled pork are great. Selection's just OK, but it helps they have fried plantains & lemon sorbet for dessert. All this only costs me $3.00 in points (used to be $2.50) - breakfast is $6.00 with a player's card & my current status gets me a 50% discount if I use points. Unless they've changed, the same can be accomplished using a 2-for-1 buffet coupon (currently M-Th for May 2013) if you're a single diner. I'll probably go to Aliante less in the future since I'll lose my status - they've pulled some funny business with marketing stuff & have also cut back some players' club stuff so I've taken my play elsewhere. However, if they keep doing the 2-for-1 buffet promotions I'll likely just use up my points that way.

Just say NO: Palace Station, Excalibur, Sam's Town
