We are selling our 2-story Centennial home after 3 years and have decided to dip out of the market and rent for awhile since we have had a problem finding a one story home we like. Our sale closes in April. We really need a single story floorplan due to health issues and unlike alot of people we actually use our garage for our cars.

Any recommendations for direct access garages/apartments with a single story plan (no steps!) would be greatly appreciated. Ideally, a place that will do a 6 month lease would be fantastic but we aren't opposed to 12 months. We have good income/credit.

A little about us:

We'd like to try the west or southwest side of town, though we aren't opposed to staying in Centennial. We lived off 95/Lake Mead for 2 years prior to buying the home. We have 2 small dogs (under 10lbs, one is service dog and the other is in training as a therapy pet). I work at home and my bf is retired. We are social and like to do all sorts of activities but we don't mind driving to what we need.

I'm not sure if they have one story or what the access is, but there is a nice apartment complex on the corner of Robindale and Jones that has garages. There are also one story new homes being built in my neighborhood-- they don't have every one modeled, but you should stop at the sales office-- there are two communities (The Reserve and Woodbridge) right around Rainbow and Wigwam

Have you thought of going the Condo route? There are many ground floor units that are already handicap accessible! The unit I live in in Summerlin is 1300 square ft wit a 2 car garage, with ramps & large door access.

The apartments at Echelon Point have garages, but, as you know, those models do have stairs. I would look at renting a house or condo.

i know there are single story homes right off of blue diamond, just east of ft apache - they are right next to 3 story homes. might take a drive thru there to see if any of those places are for rent....
