At least wait for one to finish being built before proposing another.

Can Vegas sustain three observation wheels? - Las Vegas Weekly

Quote:
We’ve got a 500-foot Ferris wheel going up by Mandalay Bay and a 550-foot Ferris wheel going up behind the new Quad casino. So let me ask you this: What kind of people look at a city with two giant Ferris wheels in construction and say, “You know what this place needs? Another.” And now let me answer: Eric Smithers and the London Thrill gang do.
Last week, Smithers, with a straight face, presented the Clark County Commission with plans for yet another Vegas wheel. “But it’s more than just that,” he said. “That’s one component of an entire park.”

I'd mortgage the house and bet that the wheel near Mandalay will NEVER be finished. So we're still at two wheels.

i'd like some of that action Scoop......add this to the pile of other crap that exists only in a poorly drawn Architectural Rendering designed to sucker investors into coughing up the cash.

OK, a friendly wager then. I'll bet that the Mandalay wheel is never completed. And that eventually someone demolishes the two towers that are currently on that property and builds something else.

To win, the wheel must be completed. We'll give it a time frame of five years. Let me know how much you'd like to bet.

Well, how much? The $1 "Trading Places" kind of bet? A hunsky?

Personally, I'd like to bet a bottle of 1966 W&J Graham's vintage port. That's only $250.

If you agree to that bet, I'll buy a bottle. If you win, I'll either give you the bottle, or $250 (your choice). If you lose, you send me $250. Five-year time frame. Pay-off either way is April, 2018. (EDIT -- If the wheel is built prior to April, 2018, I will consider it a win on your part and pay up at such time. If the property is repurposed prior to April, 2018, you lose. If the development sits as it stands today by April, 2018, you lose.) If either one of us gets hit by a bus before April, 2018, then the bet is null and void. (Can't have our wives dealing with an internet bet, now can we?)

Deal?
