Not sure what good it does.

Many were saying the LAPD were lying about the 1 million and don't intend to pay anybody. I'm not sure who would deserve it either other than the families of the dead cops.

This state can ill-afford to send one more person to prison. Get out your calculators: If given the death penalty, we're looking at potentially $2-3 million in costs. Those appeals are expensive!

Life without parole, @ $40-50k a year to incarcerate someone, use your calculator!

I'm all for catching the suspect, but what to do after catching him? As long as it doesn't effect my wallet for 30-40-50 years!

Good thinking, perhaps he'll die in a shootout with police. Cops unharmed of course.

We might get a civil case for that though.

When suspects are shot in a police shootout, saving the taxpayer's millions of dollars, the least you can do for these suspects is to give him/her funerals fit for Kings or Queens!

No need for prison time, death penalty. Get it done and over with whatever cost and pass it on to the relatives.

Of course, because that's what this country was founded on -- if your doofus uncle seriously injures 20 people while driving drunk, you're on the hook for all the medical expenses. Let's just build a lot of debtor's prisons and work camps, while we're at it.

Did Sarah Palin give a speech about criminal detention in Las Vegas lately?

problem is that, when they had the shooting at the Fed Ct House a few yrs back, the PO LICE expended 157 rounds.....

and had two hits.......Thats not cost effective either.
