Hello future neighbors,
I`m looking forward to my moving to Las Vegas. Since it will be my first time in Vegas I'm not familiar with the local options for short term rents. I`ve read a lot of your posts (which are extremely helpful), for living areas, locations, safety etc. Still trying to combine a place which will be convenient for my school and my future work[unknown location]. Speaking of that I`m not sure where exactly i want to live and I'm looking for a place which I can rent month to month until i picked my perfect location. I don't feel like signing 6-12 months contracts yet. My preferences are for the area between Flamingo blvd. and Vegas drive [Sun city, The lakes, Charleston preservation, Peccole ranch, Summerlin] more west of the strip, plus some friends of mine live in that area too. I have done some research with local apartment complexes and communities but they firmly looking for 6-12-18m terms. I hope you understand my idea and need. I will appreciate any tips and personal experience which you will post.

Thank you in advance

Chris Yavashev

Thank you, I consider this already, but I'm not really big fan of it. Thank you, I will keep looking.

Your post made me curious, so I checked my HOA documents and found that I have the ability/right to rent out my property for 30 days or more. Are you saying that that is an anomaly among LV HOAs?

YOurs is not unusual. Many though (Sun City Summerlin for example) limit you to n rentals per year.

And some flatly forbid any rentals.

You gotta read those HOA Docs. And in some places...Astoria North for example... Random houses forbid rentals while everyone else can. Still have not figured out how that happened.
