By the way Queensridge has been around longer than Summerlin. Hehehehe!
No it hasn't. The first models for SUN CITY SUMMERLIN were being sold and built in the late 80's. Bill Peccole didn't start his company until the early 90's and while people were moving into the first section of Sun City Summerlin, that whole area of BOCA PARK, QUEENSRIDGE and all the rest of PECCOLE RANCH was nothing but empty desert. Development of the area really commenced right after Bill Peccole formed his LLC {in the early 90's} and then with the NEVADA LEGACY TRUST land holdings and proceeded to develop the master plan of PECCOLE RANCH around 1997 or 1998 where Queensridge is located.

I remember very clearly the day, driving up West Charleston, way back in the late 90's after West Charleston was re-paved as we heard you could go as far West as a street called TOWN CENTER DRIVE where West Charleston then ended and all new development was going on. We were stopped by a construction worker in the road because those two gigantic horses at the entrance to Queensridge were being hoisted and placed on their bases by a crane.

Had never seen anything like that, it was amazing! . Just beautiful and still so elegant at that entrance.

My guess is that Frys is done growing. The opportunity they have with all the big chains closing and Best Buy struggling suggests they should expand into new markets and grow in existing markets which in theory should be even better than Vegas like Seattle. The fact that they have not means the business just isn't that solid and the internet is probably too tough to beat.

Frys is stupid to open another one in town when there are plenty of other towns asking for 1. Seattle area already has one and so does portland. We've got one and they should have tons in southern cali and san jose. They should open one in Salt Lake with all their new tech centers. They've also got a few in texas, chicago and georgia i think. If they want to open another one beside SLC, it should be in an underserved city somewhere in the mid west.
Now I wish MicroCenter would move to town as that would help me in avoiding Frys and getttng better deals there.

They own the building or that is likely owned by an LLC with a San Jose address. . Suspect it is way up on their list but awaiting the appropriate time. I always though Fry's must have taken some damage from that procurement guy of theirs.

MicroCenter sucks. It's nothing compared to Frys and their specials are nothing great. And yet it still has a long line and no better service. Frys is really needed in Denver and yet not a word about them even considering the market.

Wrong!!! Del Webb the real estate developer not Summerlin built Sun City and it was a prelude to the development of the area now known as Summerlin.

By the way Peccole Ranch started developing real estate in the area during the 80's. Queensridge may have been developed in the 90s but the community of Peccole Ranch has been around since the 80's not 90's as you have mentioned.

Back then, the retirement community in the Northwest was named Del Webb Sun City Las Vegas and not Sun City Summerlin as it is now known. Keep in mind Summerlin is not a town nor a city.

Nope It is part of Summerlin. The earliest phases are called Sun City Summerlin. Sun City membership cards get you into any of the Summerlin facilities.
