Hello I'm coming out to Vegas on Friday....exploring to see if I can find a job and would want to stay here during the winter....want to be able to find housing for the winter months and a temp part time job.....

You want to dabble. Not a bad idea to see if you like the town. Make sure to rent a car and get around the valley. Talk to realtors and/or check out apartments.
Don't think you'll get too far job wise by dabbling though. You'll have to show a Vegas address before employers will take you seriously.
