I just arrived at Nellis, and I found out that I am going to be working at both Nellis and Creech (Indian Springs). What is a good area to live in that will be about halfway between both bases, preferably closer to 95. Right now, I live near Nellis, and I'm already tired of the hour drive to Indian Springs.

Get yourself a Harley, it will make that one hour commute a lot more enjoyable.

You'll look forward to it...I know I do.

I'm not really familiar with all of the neighborhood names. But isn't there a park and ride area. I know alot of the people who live on Nellis but work at Creech park and ride up in some sort of bus system.

Find a place in 89143 or 89149. Both are good areas. Both provide easy access to 95 and 215 and are roughly half way between Creech and Nellis.

Another great place to look would be Aliante. It's right on the 215. Just south of there is Eldorado. It's an older subdivision and has the advantage of huge (by Vegas standards) backyards. Both would put you roughly equidistant from both Nellis and Creech.

Aliante or Centennial hands down...I drive to Creech AFB at least once a week from Nellis and both of these areas are easy access to the freeways. The areas are nice also.

I live near Centennial and it's a nice area. I'm not sure about Aliante. It is convienent to live off the 215. It's about 30 min to drive from Centennial to Nellis and 20 Min from Aliante. Also, the 215 never has traffic.

We live up in Centennial Hills, in the far NW in Providence. We have easy access to 95 & 215. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Nellis where my husband works, but most of the military that I know living up here work at Creech. They just added the Horse Dr. ramp to 95 as well which makes it very convenient or they have a park and ride lot off 215 & Sky Pointe Drive.

They don't use that one anymore. They moved it to Durango. Not exactly sure where though.
