So I'm in Vegas, while my wife is on the East coast until she finds work here. I'm living at the Extended Stay Deluxe on Flamingo, but even with a corporate rate it's a bit higher than what I wanted to pay (about $310 a week) and it will drop after 30 days once the tax is no longer in play.

Is there another similar place that is safe? I have checked out Siegel suites and the ones I've visited had working girls right in front. I also checked out Holiday Royale but it seems its WiFi can't handle online gaming (I play PS3 multiplayer), but I was given the option to get it installed separately at additional cost, and I wasn't impressed - the place reeked with smoke.

I also went to see the one that looks like a castle (something Manor) and didn't like it either.

I guess my musts are: furnished, kitchen, utilities, WiFi, smoke-free, linens/towels/pots/pans, weekly housekeeping (so I don't have to buy a vacuum), no lease/credit checks... are there any other places besides Extended Stay along the same price... I hope I'm not asking for too much.

Only other things I can think of would be to look in phone book for furnished apartments. Even regular apartments will sometimes furnish a studio for a month or two. Also, you can check out Corporate housing, but my guess is it will be more money, but definitely nicer. Last suggestion is to call some of the Share rentals advertised on Craigs list, and see, for twice their asking price, they would rent to you for a month or so. I did that once. Sure beat those extended stays.

$310/week at Extended Stay Flamingo? are you paying weekly rate? I believe they have monthly rate for less than $1000/month. I remember they had a promotion before, and it was $880 per month with minumum 2 months.
