we tried,,,,we really did, cause i knew Ralph and Darwyn [jack] quite well back in the day ....a lot of the stories were from FACT but totally out of order.....watched it last night [DVR]for the last time.....in 1960 Nevada, and Clark county did NOT have ANY laws regarding speed.[safe and proper for conditions]....so when the kid pulled the girl over and ticketed her for a hundred MPH that was pure BS

Vegas (TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Vegas received a 22-episode full season on October 23, 2012.[4] CBS later reduced the order to 21 episodes..."

People who live in Vegas don't care for it while those that live elsewhere, do. At least that's the general consensus I get from this thread and all the other online reviews/comments.

LAS Vegas never looked like that either; at least what I saw of the show. I think it's filmed (do they use film anymore?) in Las Vegas, NEW MEXICO. Very different place.

opening show had some filmed in LV NM but now its all done in SO Califirnia and on a sound stage in ....i think .....fullerchitton,

I could have tollerated the filming cause thaere is NO place on earth that looks like 1960 Vegas including Vegas....but comeon guys do yer friggin research......[Ive been silent on the fact that "The Kid" was really only about 8 or 10 in 1960 cause he was 18 when he got the job as Baccarat PitBoss at the stardust and that was about 1972/3 ish]

BUT DQ is doing a bangup job of portraying the Sheruf

I am enjoying the storylines on the show. I dont allow myself to get hung up on every detail and wonder if it is 100% accurate.

Denis Quaid is really good, as is Michael Chiklis

I agree fully Lisa.....altho i do tend to get hung up on the details causeI lived thru em ......i look for the tru things like the Sheruf hustlin the goomba out into the street......Ralph said in an interview that, THAT one was pretty accurate it was Johnnie Rosselli.....

I believe it was shortly after that, that he started his "Ralph Lamb Travel Service" funded entirely by "Sherrifs Work Cards"....required to work in any establishment that server or sold liqour of had gambling"
When someone 'undesireable" show up, the Sheriff met them personally at the airport bought a ticket from the "Sheriffs Discretionaly Fund" and sent them home.....or wherever the next plane out was going to......

I agree..Since I was not there this is just a show to watch and be entertained by.. I know a lot of shows are not close to being real but I watch them to be entertained...

I love at the beginning of a show or movie they state based on a true story or actual events... And most times the only thing close to real is the title or the name of someone....
