The market on shorts is reasonable vicious right now. We are seeing 15 and 20 offers below 100K and some heavy competition up to $150K. If you are even think you want the house make your bid. Don't wait. You have time to have second thoughts after you get accepted. Bid a rational price from the comps...not from the list. If you don't get it be thankful...you don't need to overpay for a short.

Be very careful of fixers. They continue to sell for absurd prices. Get a reasonable quote on what you will spend to fix it and then bid a little less than the result.

The system requires that you make less than optimum decision sometimes so you have the options of making well though out ones later.

One can of course contemplate ones navel in a continuing manner before committing...but that is, in an of itself, a decision that you do not want the place. Waiting determines outcome as certainly as not bidding.
