Just curious.

Depends how good a service the teen babysitter gives me while the wife is away. Usually it's $200, that's what they expect for full service.

I don't believe that is the OP's question. Let's stick to the actual topic.

That's true (but it was pretty funny)

I know. I wish I knew the answer to your question, but I haven't thought about the price of babysitters since my sister was one, decades ago!

Our babysitter makes a decent penny. She watches 4 toddlers including our daughter, Monday through Friday. She probably averages $100-150 a kid. She once used to watch 6 kids at a time. I also think she charges $200+ for newborns.

I have seen a range for teenagers, but the ones I have been interviewing lately have been asking for $9 for one kid, $11 for 2 kids and $13 for 3 kids. Most of the girls I have asked if they reduce their rates while my kids would be in bed, and they said no. Once my kids are in bed, they stay there and don't wake up 99% of the time unless they have a nightmare which is extremely rare. *knocks on wood* The adults I have been interview want $10 to start for one kid, $13 for 2 kids and $15 for 3 kids. I have run into adults charging $10 to start and $5 per additional kid. I have also had some teenagers wanting $15 an hour to start up to $30 an hour for my kids. These rates are for just watching my boys and not for cleaning, pick my oldest up from school, etc.
